Registration opens in January for the Major Taylor Mountain Summit 2017. There is no “selection process” for the summit, however, we expect the event to sellout. Clubs from across the US have been invited with many staying at the cabins. Club Presidents are handling the registration. Each club has been offered a set price for each cabin with a “per head” nightly fee determined by them. Your spot in the cabin can be either a bed, a park provided cot or floor space. All final arrangements must be made with your club president. Again they are the ones reserving the cabins.
SUMMIT REGISTRATION FEE
The 2017 Major Taylor Mountain Summit 2017 Saturday single day ride entry fee is $40. Registration for the entire event, or anything other than a single day is $70.00. The entry fee includes a 2017 Major Taylor Mountain Summit wrist band which entitles you to all sag and food, energy/hydration drinks and water at sponsored rest stops; all road law enforcement, SAG support, medical support and mechanical support at stations along the route. In addition, the registration covers the Barbecue Dinner on Saturday night.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:
There are no refunds, unless you have an extenuating circumstance. Contact us to work something out.
WANT TO STAY AT A CABIN?
Good choice! In the best past Summits the times when the clubs could spent time together after the rides became as much fun as the rides themselves. A true sense of camaraderie developed on the porch of the Bicycle Inn or walking the porches in Townsend, wandering from room to room.
We must have been doing something right as our numbers have grown. We needed a much more flexible spot for 2017. North Bend offered just what we need-9 cabins secluded from the world in a rustic hill top setting.
We envisioned a cabin for each club but realize that may not be what everyone wants. As of this writing, in fact, a few groups from different clubs have come together and requested cabin space. Contact us as soon as possible as the cabins are going fast.
In that the cabins are close to one another, we’ve events plan that invite the club members to travel from cabin to cabin, hopefully developing a new type of camaraderie. Each of the nine cabins offered have a full kitchen, fireplace and plenty of space to hang and relax.
So talk with your club president. Cabins have been offered to individual clubs with a “per head” price. Get to them early, as the cabins each have beds, cots and floor space available.
AND THERE IS ALSO A BEAUTIFUL LODGE
North Bend offers a fully functional lodge. We have reserved up to 28 of them for the summit. Each room is clean, well cared for and recently updated. To quote the parks web site: North Bend Lodge sits atop a breeze blessed ridge that peers over the woodland river valley below. Decorated with solid oak furnishings, the lodge features 29 guest rooms featuring two double beds, a queen bed and double bed, or a king bed, bath, air conditioning, telephone, mini-fridges, and color television.
MTMS has negotiated a room rate and cabin package, so we can offer a room registration and reservation package. See this page to register for a room.
